Seaside Cottage was originally a‘Black House’- modernised and Extended in 1977 to add a bathroom and kitchen. The house was lived in by the same Harris family for 57 years.
‘Seaside Cottage’ sits in a very sheltered position right on the shores of Loch Bun Abain Eadarra - Looking North to the Clisham massif, the highest Point on the islands, with Uisgneabhal Mor and Beg to the left and Gilaval Glas to the right.
The hamlet of Ardhasaig, with its Post Office, General Store, Off licence and petrol pumps is within walking distance on the main A 859 Tarbert to Stornoway road, as is the local Restaurant at ‘Ardhasaig House’
Tarbert, the capital of Harris, is two miles to the East and Stornoway, the administrative Capital of the Outer Hebrides with its airport easily accessible 35 miles to the North.
The cottage is centrally situated for North Harris and Scalpay, the Bays and the West Side, as well as South Harris. The Sound of Harris islands and the Uists are in easy reach as is Lewis and the North.
Available locally are fishing, sea trips, hill walking, Golf, Bicycle Hire, Taxi service, Car Hire, surfing and stalking. |
