1. Arrival Arriving from Stornoway - you take the only road, the A859 South to Tarbert. Descending from the mountains to the sea you will pass the hamlet of Ardhasaig with its shop and petrol pumps. ‘Leachin House’ is two miles further on at the first speed restriction sign the large two storey house with white iron gates to the drive,signposted at the gate on the loch side of the road. Arriving from Tarbert or Leverburgh - you take the A859 to Stornoway, we are one mile from the Tarbert ferry Terminal on West Loch Tarbert. ‘Leachin House’ is the large two storey house, with white iron gates to the drive, surrounded by a large garden, signposted at the gate on the loch side of the road. On your first arrival you will need to report to ‘Leachin House’ to collect your Keys and pay the balance of your rental. Please time your arrival for between 3.00 pm. and 6.00 pm. 2. Equipment ‘Seaside Cottage' is equipped with all linen including sheets , towels & tea towels for the number of people stated on your booking form. If you need more, please let us know. The Cottage Inventory will be found in a folder in the Kitchen - you should check this upon your arrival, otherwise you may be charged at the end of your visit for missing articles. 3. Heating ‘Seaside Cottage’ is heated by night storage heaters. There is an additional fan heater and heated towel rail in the bathroom and there is a 'Morso' multifuel stove in the living room with coal in the bunker outside. 4. Household ‘Seaside Cottage’ is equipped with a full range of cleaning materials, all bins are provided with liners and spares - if further supplies are need , please ask. 5. Damages All breakages and spillages should be reported to us immediately. If something is spilled on upholstery, bedding or carpets please letus know as soon as possible in order that we can avoid any lasting damage. 6. Rubbish
Rubbish should be placed in the black wheelie bin outside named ‘Seaside Cottage’. Collections are every alternate Thursday and the bin needs to be wheeled up to the Tarmac entrance please. 7. Shopping The Post Office & General store with its petrol pumps at Ardhasaig is within walking distance just up the hill. Tarbert, the principal town of Harris, is two miles to the East and Stornoway, the Administrative Capital of the Outer Hebrides with its airport, is 35 miles to the North. 8. Telephone There is a pay phone in ‘Seaside Cottage’. 9. Information Local information is in a folder in ‘Seaside Cottage’. The local Tourist Information centre is at Pier Road Tarbert Tel: 01859 502011 10. Departure At the end of your stay we would be grateful if you could vacate ‘Seaside Cottage’ by 10.00 am. and return the key to us at ‘Leachin House’
